There was a time I could barely drag thru a day like today , some I didn't.

I'm trying to reprogram myself. I used to go to my dark place for the comfort I could find there but I've served my life sentence and I'm ready to start living again.
Something strange happened the other day. I was giving my husband a ride to work and trying to hear my music over his phone call when a thought entered my mind.
When he finished I asked him out of the blue " What color are my eyes ?" He hesitated as he tried to see them but I kept my head turned so he doubtfully said "brown ?"
I nodded as he took yet another call .
