W C Handy

Father of the blues...
Saviour to those of us thus afflicted with the mournful melancholy that can only be endured by knowing we are not alone and there is a light on in the harbour of the raging sea of regret...

I've been a lot of places on my downward spiral, I went to Memphis on the Ghost train with Marc Cohn, Norah knows I just can't help myself, I've got to see you again, Alison helped me get all cried out until I went weak, Jonny Lang got me to the levee, Elvis left his early stuff to get me going, The Leap of Faith soundtrack got me headed back where I belong, the History Light is shining to lead the way, Damn Trace Adkins where the hell did you come from ? and will you come back? , Bring Garth and Ronnie and Kix with you k. Kid Rock took me to the French Quarter in New Orleans and Bob Segar gave me a ride back to the Midwest, gotta love a traveling man. I was Slipping Down but I feel a hand reaching in to pull me out. Where would we be right now, if all our dreams had come true , baby I know somehow , I'd have never seen your face , this world would be a different place, darling there's no way to know , which way your heart will go.....

If you've never had the low down blues you can not begin to understand the high you get coming back.  Every experience molds you into who you are therefore it is important to experience it completely so if your going down, go all the way , it's longer coming back but you meet a lot of interesting people along the way.

to the people who make the music that feed our souls I honor and praise you and thank you for saving my life so many , many times , you are truly the blessed ones and deserve becoming immortal thru your music.

Cheers, Amelie
